2017 Toison d’Or Pinot Noir
ALC 13.2% Cases Produced: 25
Our Reserve wine is 50% whole cluster fermented and shows a sophisticated nose of cedar, sweet leather, tobacco, roasted coffee, ripe cherry and strawberry pie. The mouthfeel is beautifully round and delivers delicate notes of juicy brambleberry. The texture is silky and creamy and finishes on lingering cherry flavored, crunchy tannins.
In the Middle Ages, knights of Burgundy were awarded the Golden Fleece Medallion and honored with the motto: “Pretium laborum non vile”, or “No mean reward for labor”. The Domaine Divio Toison d’Or is our reward for all the hard work.
This very special selection comes from two early-ripening vineyard sites situated in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and the Chehalem Mountains AVA. With 2017 having been a particularly early vintage, Bruno saw the potential to hand select the best quality grapes from these vineyards and separate them from the rest to be crafted into their own distinct wine.
