ALC 13.9% Cases Produced: 25
A classic earthy Pinot bouquet entices you into the glass to further discover, floral, cedar, tobacco and orange peel notes. On the palate, the wine has a bright core of silky tannins intertwined seamlessly with luscious cherry flavors. The earthy character from the nose echoes on the lengthy finish.
In the Middle Ages, knights of Burgundy were awarded the Golden Fleece Medallion and honored with the motto: “Pretium laborum non vile”, or “No mean reward for labor”. The Domaine Divio Toison d’Or is our reward for all the hard work.
The home of Domaine Divio, selected by winemaker Bruno Corneaux as he believes it offers the best terroir from which to make the perfect Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. From the air it appears as an island that has broken off from surrounding landmasses. Willakenzie marine sedimentary soil is relatively uniform throughout the AVA and the lack of underground water limits vigorous vine growth.
