As a young girl growing up in the Appalachian Foothills, Sara enjoyed playing The Oregon Trail computer game and learning of the pioneers’ desire to forge a new life out west. Childhood games gave way to adulthood responsibilities, but after years of working in retail management, Sara yearned to use her sales skills in a new and adventurous way. So, she packed up her dog, Jaxx, and her cat, Binx, and set off on her very own Oregon Trail in search of the liquid gold of the Willamette Valley.

After a successful trip during which no one in her party died of dysentery, a new phase of Sara’s adventure began. One sip of Oregon Pinot, and she knew she wasn’t in Ohio anymore! Sara’s favorite thing about working in the tasting room at Domaine Divio (besides the wine) is meeting incredible people who share her passion for Oregon wine as she swirls around the tasting room.
