André Weil was born in Burgundy and grew up in the culture of Burgundian wines. André and Bruno found a common ground when they met almost 30 years ago in Dijon, where they worked together as chemists and searched for the best Pinot Noirs to fill their cellars. André initially developed his own pharmaceutical company.

Now 25 years later he has returned to pursue his early dreams of finding the best soil in which to grow and produce the purest Pinot Noir, the “Holy Grail” he sought during his early years in Burgundy. André naturally sought out Bruno, who led him to the Oregon promised land. In 2014 they found the perfect place on Ribbon Ridge AVA and started to plant Clos Gallia Vineyard the same year.

Meanwhile André continues to seek perfect vineyard land in Burgundy by adding new acquisitions to the Domaine Divio portfolio from the Vezelay region and the Chablis region of Burgundy. These wines will be available soon at our tasting room.
