Though he is a native of Dallas, Texas, Preston has called many places Home. After attending the University of Arkansas, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Preston began his career in Specialty Beverage. Though he enjoyed the Craft Beer and Coffee industry, he and his wife Jennifer always had their noses to a wine book. Their careers brought them to New York City and then Paris, France, whereafter they took a leap of faith and decided to make the Pacific Northwest their home in 2024.

Preston transitioned into the wine industry in August of 2020. He says it was the year of “life is too short not to do the thing you love”. He worked for a boutique wine distributor in Manhattan before becoming a Wine Educator in Paris. He also worked as a guide to the Champagne Region, along with the Loire Valley. When their chapter in France was coming to an end, He and Jennifer decided Portland was the next adventure. Preston says it was the dramatic landscape, the depth of quality, but also the tranquil, undiscovered nature of the Willamette Valley that drew him here. After working a year with Gran Moraine Winery, He joined Domaine Divio in May of 2025 as Wine Club Manager. Preston is eager to serve and create memorable experiences for Domaine Divio members and non-members alike.
